The Ice Queen

哈尔滨 (Harbin), my beloved second home.

Its amazing shopping, food, (and friends and family!) and architecture (including many Russain influenced buildings - called the oriental St. Petersburg by some) it is most famous for it's AMAZING, and I mean AMAZING ice and snow sculptures (my favs are the ice, as shown above). These ice culptures are life ize and include replicas of famous world monuments  (e.g. Leaning Tower or Pisa, the Great Wall of China, and the Lincoln Memorial,) and ice buildings that you can walk around in and attempt to climb. Cartier and Tiffany stores also make their appearance at the annual ice festival park.

In the 1920s, 哈尔滨 was considered the fashion capital of China as new designs from Paris and Moscow reached here first before arriving in Shanghai.

I heart you Harbin.

Ex oh ex oh
